Welcome, August! We’re thrilled to have you on the team. Can you tell us a bit about your background?
Thank you so much! I’m really excited to be here. I’ve been working in the insurance industry for the past five years, most recently at FirstVet, where I handled expansion and partnerships. Before that, I was in the startup world, always with a commercial focus.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role as CCO at Wisentic?
After working in pet insurance from a telemedicine perspective, it’s exciting to explore new areas and perspectives here at Wisentic. AI has enormous potential to streamline the insurance industry, and I’m looking forward to being part of that journey!
What challenges do you see in the insurance industry today, and how can Wisentic help?
It will be fascinating to see how we can make processes even more efficient without compromising the customer experience. Many customers want a fast but still personal experience. Our products can make a big difference here – helping clients save time and money while providing fair and speedy claim assessments.
What do you find most exciting in the industry right now?
There’s a lot of buzz around AI, and I agree it’s an exciting area. What’s most interesting is seeing which applications actually work and provide business value. Right now, it’s mostly talk with a bit less action, but looking beyond Sweden, there’s a lot of exciting development in claim assessment and management.
When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like to stay active and be outdoors as much as possible – playing tennis, skiing, or going for a run. We’ve recently bought a country house just outside Uppsala, which means a lot of gardening with the family.
